Steve MacNeal graduated from the Finger Lakes Law Enforcement Academy in 1998 and began his career as a Deputy Sheriff with the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office. In 2002, Steve transferred to the Irondequoit Police Department. During his time in Irondequoit, Steve worked the road patrol, assisted the Criminal Investigations Unit, was a representative in the Greater Rochester Area Narcotics Enforcement Team, and was a founding member and the Team Leader of the Emergency Response Team. Steve received several departmental awards including Unit Commendations, Officer of the Month, Excellent Police Service, Meritorious Service, and Officer of the Year. Steve received his Associates Degree in Criminal Justice from Finger Lakes Community College in 2004. In 2014, Steve returned to Wayne County to continue his career as a police officer with the Macedon Police Department. Steve was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in April of 2014. Sergeant MacNeal looks forward to a long career working with the dedicated men and women of the Macedon Police Department and serving the citizens of the Town of Macedon.
